The Well new england

The Well is a gathering of women in the greater Boston area for the purpose of worshiping and exalting the name of Jesus. For more on upcoming nights, visit: thewellnewengland.com.

what happens at the well?

Our times together include connecting relationally over coffee and treats, singing in worship, hearing from Scripture, and praying both corporately and individually.

When and where?

Seven Mile Road in Melrose (84 Green St. Melrose, MA 02176) hosts the event on Friday nights (7:30pm) a few times a year.  The schedule for 2017 will be: January 13, March 10, and May 12. Click HERE TO RSVP.

why the well?

Women’s lives are often filled to capacity with the many roles, responsibilities, and commitments. The result is both striving to keep up and a threat of numbness to the voice and call of God in their lives. These evenings create a helpful space within the busyness of life's callings for women to hear the Words of Scripture, turn their hearts in worship, and allow the Spirit to stir and awaken the work God is doing in and through them.

who organizes the well?

The women of Seven Mile Road, across our family of churches, are leading, organizing, and creating a welcoming place for these nights to occur for the good of women regionally and with the glad and invested support of our elders. Larger questions of organizational structure in the future are yet to be determined as The Well is in it's incipient stages. Seven Mile Road's five essentials (gospel centrality, holiness and humility, orthodox theology, relational intimacy, and missional living) are reflected in the ethos of The Well. There is always room for others to get involved to help and support these evenings as they unfold. Please let us know if you desire to join us!

what is the well not?

The Well is not a replacement for church or for gospel community. All-in participation in the life of our local church is the beautiful means God has given us to worship, to grow, to give and bear witness to the fullness of who He is. Gathering together in worship on the Lord's Day is the height of our week, and gospel communities are the place where we share life, are formed in the gospel, and move towards others in love. The Well complements and supports these rhythms, allowing a little more space for our women to be together, and serving to bring women from across our region together in friendship, worship, and prayer.
